SCOUTING CAPITAL & FAMILY ADVISORS ASSISTS SITRA GROUP IN THE ACQUISITION OF MARLEP TANKLOGISTIK

  • Milan, 12 January 2026 Sitra Group (“Sitra”), a leading European food logistics company controlled by the Saelens family and the investment holding company Creafund, announces the acquisition of Marlep Tanklogistik GmbH (“Marlep”), a German company active in the international transport of temperature-controlled liquid and powdered raw materials for the food industry.
  • The transaction is part of the Group’s strategic plan for growth and consolidation at European level, which aims to achieve an annual turnover of €500 million in the coming years through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions. This strategy has already seen the strengthening of its network through the addition of Ricotto (Italy), Abbey Logistics Group (United Kingdom) and Albert Keijzer (Netherlands) over the last three years. The acquisition of Marlep represents a significant strengthening of the network in Germany and Poland.
  • Following this agreement, Lars Johannsen, founder of Marlep, will leave the company together with strategic investor Boettger Logistik GmbH. The company will continue to be led by its current Managing Director, Marlon Roda.
  • Founded in 1962, Sitra Group is a family-owned company based in Belgium with an annual turnover of more than €300 million and over 1,600 employees in 12 countries. The group operates more than 1,000 owned trucks and 2,500 trailers/containers, including food tankers for liquids and powders.
  • Creafund is an industry-independent investment holding company, active since 2001 and focused on long-term growth investments and buy-out transactions of SMEs of excellence.
  • Marlep, a company founded in 2010 and based in Hamburg (Germany), operates in the bulk liquid food logistics sector and is recognised for its excellent customer service, based on reliability, quality and flexibility. The company has a turnover of €30 million, employs over 100 people and operates a fleet of 50 lorries and 70 trailers. In addition to its headquarters in Hamburg, it has a major operational site near Gdansk, Poland.
  • In the transaction, Sitra was assisted by Scouting Capital & Family Advisors as financial advisor, with a team composed of Managing Director Carlo Corsi, Associate Director Andrea Isacchi and Associate Eleonora Preto, coordinated by Managing Partner Davide Milano. Rödl’s German team acted as legal, tax and financial advisor and was responsible for due diligence.
