  • The transaction represents the conclusion of an investment journey that saw the Fund support Turatti through an important phase of industrial and managerial growth, now culminating in its entry into the American Grote Company group: during the holding period, Taste of Italy supported management in strengthening the organizational structure, through the acquisition of Tecnoceam and the construction of the new production headquarters built to the most advanced ESG standards, backing a development plan aimed at expanding international reach and consolidating Turatti’s position as a leading player in its reference markets. In this new phase of development, Turatti will become part of the American group Grote Company Family of Brands, with the goal of further expanding its ability to offer integrated solutions to European and North American food processors, benefiting from the complementary expertise, breadth of offering, and global presence of the Grote Company Family of Brands Group.

The Group, which includes the Turatti, Tecnoceam, VGC, and RS Tecnology brands, develops turnkey systems covering the entire production process (washing, cutting, drying, trimming, sorting, handling, fruit and vegetable processing, mixing, and batch processing) for an international customer base. Through its Salinas, California facility, it serves some of the leading operators in the sector worldwide, standing out for technological innovation, engineering expertise, and the ability to develop tailor-made solutions for customer needs.
  • Founded in 1972 in Columbus, Ohio, Grote Company Family of Brands was established to bring automation to the food industry and, over more than 50 years of activity, has grown to include 8 locations worldwide and more than 300 employees. The company today manufactures food processing machinery, recognized for its reliability, build quality, and customer service focus. Over the past 20 years, Grote Company has expanded and strengthened its know-how through strategic acquisitions (including Vanmark, Advanced Food Technology, GME International, and Pizzamatic), consolidating its position as a leading provider of equipment and lines for the food processing industry, serving customers ranging from small local operators to major global brands.
